INTRODUCTION TO BASIC ANDROID APPLICATION PROGRAMMING FOR STUDENTS OF SMK NEGERI 1 GAMBUT

Based on 2018 BPS data, it shows that the quantity of unemployed originating from Vocational High Schools (SMK) is in the top rank, which is 8.92%. Vocational High Schools play an important role in reducing unemployment in Indonesia. One way that can be done is by providing soft skills and hard skills to students. Introduction to Basic Android Application Programming at SMK Negeri 1 Gambut aims to provide knowledge about android application programming and understand the flow of simple programming using the Android programming language. The method of implementing community service activities is carried out through introduction and training using the provided modules. In this activity, the implementer also conducts an evaluation to identify the level of knowledge of the participants by giving pre-test and post-test questions. The average result of the pre-test score is 1.650. If a percentage is taken, the result is 41.25%. As for the post-test results after the training was carried out, the average post-test score was 3,530. If converted into a percentage, then the result is 88.25%. It can be concluded that the increase in the knowledge of participants in Community Service activities by the percentage is 47%.
